Job summary

Hemlock Pain Center is seeking a Medical Assistant I to support clinicians and enhance patient care in a busy, patient-focused environment. Travel to satellite offices in Dublin, Warner Robins, Milledgeville, and Macon on a weekly rotation is required, with set schedules across sites.

You will greet patients, document histories, assist with procedures, manage rooms and records, and help with billing and insurance tasks, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting is a plus.
• Certified Medical Assistant is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and EHR systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in process.

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests as directed.

• Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care and answer general questions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Manage and update patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance verification as needed.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant I to support our healthcare providers and enhance patient experiences. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow their career in the medical field within a collaborative and patient-focused organization. Must be able to travel to satellite offices in Dublin, GA, Warner Robins, GA, Milledgeville, GA, and Macon, GA on a weekly rotation.

Work Schedule: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Warner Robins, GA- Mondays and alternating Tuesdays

Dublin, GA- Wednesdays and Tuesdays when the Warner Robins location is closed.

Milledgeville, GA- Thursdays

Macon, GA- Fridays
