Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program or one year as a Medical Assistant (for trainee)
• High School Diploma required for trainee; comprehensive on-the-job training provided

Responsibilities

• Take patients to rooms and greet them.
• Obtain vital signs and schedule appointments.
• Assist with medical procedures and perform phlebotomy.
• Answer phones; clerical and computer work; maintain EMR.
• Calculate and administer medications and vaccinations.
• Complete FMLA and other paperwork.
• Obtain lab specimens; handle prior authorizations.
