Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. is hiring Medical Assistants to perform administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of a physician, in a patient-facing office setting.

The role involves taking vitals, assisting with procedures, phlebotomy, EMR maintenance, and coordinating care with the clinical team. There's a full-time paid training program (Mon–Fri, 8a–4:30p) leading to a full-time Medical Assistant role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program or one year as MA.
• No experience required for Medical Assistant Trainee; on-the-job training provided.
• Full-time paid training program, Monday–Friday 8a–4:30p.

Responsibilities

• Taking patients to rooms and obtaining vital signs.
• Assisting with medical procedures and phlebotomy.
• Obtaining lab specimens and maintaining EMR.
• Calculating & administering medications & vaccinations.
• Greeting patients and answering phones.
• Scheduling appointments and performing clerical tasks.
• Billing and coding; processing FMLA paperwork.
