Job description

This is a benefited, full-time position generally working Monday-Friday, from 7:30am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm. No weekends or holidays. Hours may vary as needed. Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in La Jolla.

Your job duties include:

• Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures, and clinic prep.
• Supporting physician's practice through patient care services.
• Relaying instructions, collecting data, documenting in electronic records.
• Administering medications, scheduling, message taking, routing messages, order entry, pre-certifications, and setting up cases in EPIC.

Qualifications:

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, certification, or two years of military corpsman experience.

Required Certification/Registration:

• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers by the AHA.

Preferred:

• One year of outpatient MA experience.
