This is a benefited, full-time position generally working Monday-Friday, either from 7:30am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm. No weekends or holidays. Hours will vary as needed. Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in La Jolla.

Your job duties:

• Rooming patients
• Checking vitals
• Assisting with procedures
• Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
• Predominantly back-office responsibilities but is expected to help with front-office duties on an as-needed basis
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice
• Relays instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person
• Collects patient data in person and by phone
• Documents patient concerns, messages, and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
• Administers medications specifically directed by the physician
• Schedules appointments and procedures
• Completes and accurately takes messages
• Routes messages to the appropriate area for direction
• Enters orders and referrals
• Obtains pre-certifications
• Sets up cases in EPIC for appointments, including clinical, lab, imaging, and more
• Performs basic registration and updates demographics
