Job Overview

NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups (NYPMG) are part of a comprehensive academic health care system affiliated with top medical schools. We provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the New York metropolitan area.

Responsibilities
  • Observe patient’s condition, report abnormalities, and document appropriately.
  • Measure and record vital signs, perform vision and hearing exams.
  • Draw blood, perform finger sticks, and collect specimens.
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures, maintaining sterile fields.
  • Apply technical skills in wound care, dressings, and positioning.
  • Maintain stock and supplies for clinical areas.
  • Other duties as required.
Schedule

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), with hours typically from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, schedule may vary.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in surgical settings.
  • High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant.
