Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners seeks a Clinic Manager to lead the back-office team at an assigned dermatology location. You will oversee staff, ensure efficient clinic flow, and collaborate with physicians to maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years in a medical office, supervisory experience, and knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding; proficiency with NextGen/EMA EMR is preferred. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years working in a medical office as a Medical Assistant (MA).
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Familiarity with NextGen or EMA EMR systems and related applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the back-office team for the assigned location and manage back-office flow.
  • Support front desk scheduling and triage to keep providers on time.
  • Train and cross-train core staff; supervise time-off and staffing coverage.
  • Ensure completion of prescription refills, EMA tasks, and voicemails by day end.
  • Maintain compliance with CLIA portal and regulatory requirements.

Example: Instrument cleaning and sterilization and Covid protocols.Support practice manager with back office employee time off and scheduling team to adjust for outages. Support manager for coverage.Coach and mentor team to form a strong partnership (staff morale) between the back office and front office.Maintain daily assignments and task responsibilities for the team weekly and make sure to post in the tech station for clear expectations. Staff should be rotating responsibilities.Ensure all prescription refills, EMA tasks, and voicemails are completed by the end of the day.Assure staff are taking breaks and punching out of the payroll system routinely and with minimal exceptions.Be in communication with physicians or providers and the front desk on patient scheduling and any overrides or add-ons.
