Work Schedule:


Part-time, 80% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based on departmental needs.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to:


  • Support UW Health surgeons across various specialties, including trauma, minimally invasive, surgical oncology, and thoracic surgery.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and education in collaboration with the team.
  • Assist with clinic procedures and minor surgeries.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.

UW Health offers continuing education opportunities for Medical Assistants, including AAMA-approved CEUs, Elsevier Skill Packages, and free weekend webinars twice a year.

Education:


Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following:

  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, OR
  • Licensure as an LPN, OR
  • Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship or Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program, OR
  • Attainment of CCMA certification as a UWH employee, OR
  • Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program (Accelerated), OR
  • One year of recent Medical Assistant experience with CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.

Work Experience:

Preferred: One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN.


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certification as CMA, RMA, or CCMA, or eligibility with certification to be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification if applying in lieu of education or licensure.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
