Job summary

Marin Community Clinics, founded in 1972, operates a network of primary care, dental, behavioral and specialty services across Marin County. The Medical Assistant Supervisor leads MA staff, ensures quality patient care, training, and adherence to MCC policies while coordinating with the Clinic Director to maintain efficient back-office operations.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and extensive EMR experience, including EPIC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
• Minimum of 5 years' work experience as a Medical Assistant or equivalent, or LVN certification.
• A certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant or LVN educational program is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Previous supervisory experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA, and MCC P&Ps.
• Proficient use of electronic medical records; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise MAs to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Evaluate MA performance and adherence to clinical quality measures.
• Provide clinical and administrative supervision to the care team.
• Ensure staff follow MCC policies and the AIDET service model.
• Maintain staffing levels and scheduling to support patient flow.
• Coordinate with the Clinic Director on training and compliance initiatives.
• Act as liaison between back office staff and others as needed.
