Medical Assistant - Studio City, CA - Onsite

Tia is building a new model for women’s healthcare, treating women as whole people across primary care, gynecology, mental health, dermatology, and wellness. Our Studio City clinic seeks a Medical Assistant to support day‑to‑day clinical care and patient flow.

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant you will room patients, collect health information and vitals, support providers, prepare exam rooms, perform phlebotomy, and ensure patients feel seen and cared for. The role requires strong organization, calm under pressure, and a focus on excellent patient experience.

What You’ll Do

• Patient Rooming & Clinical Support: room patients, collect health information, review summaries, take vitals, and document accurately.
• Provider Support: prepare providers for visits by reviewing schedules, capturing patient context, and communicating updates.
• Patient Flow & Clinic Coordination: monitor schedule, move patients smoothly from front to back house, and keep flow on track.
• Labs, Imaging & Follow‑Up: support lab/imaging workflows, enter orders, confirm codes, update pharmacy, and follow up on items.
• Phlebotomy & Clinical Procedures: perform phlebotomy and specimen collection following guidelines.
• Clinic Readiness: clean, disinfect, restock exam rooms, manage supplies, check expiration, autoclave, order supplies.
• Personalized Patient Care: capture patient preferences and context to support individualized care.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification or completion of a certification program, meeting state or payer requirements.
• Experience in clinical, ambulatory, primary care, women’s health, or patient‑facing environment.
• Experience taking and documenting vitals.
• Comfort using electronic medical record systems and documentation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical workflows and documentation standards.
• Highly organized, calm under pressure, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinic.
• Strong patient service orientation and ability to communicate with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Availability for Monday‑Friday opening or closing shifts, with rotating Saturday coverage.

Nice to Have

• Experience in women’s health, gynecology, dermatology, or integrated care settings.
• Experience supporting LGBTQ+ patients or diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with DrChrono, TiaMD, or similar EMR systems.
• Experience with autoclaving, disinfecting, supply management, and inventory workflows.
• Strong understanding of data security and privacy protocols.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation range: $21–$23 per hour, adjusted for experience, skills, location, and market conditions.
