Geisinger is offering a Medical Assistant (MA) to CMA Pathway training program in the United States. Paid trainees learn CMA duties in adult and pediatric outpatient settings through didactic and clinical rotations, gaining skills for patient care, documentation, and procedures.
Participants will train to perform vitals, assist with exams, and support the care team within a clinical environment, with a Monday–Friday schedule and full benefits after day one.

The MA to CMA Pathway is a comprehensive training program where paid student medical assistants will learn to perform the skills and job responsibilities of a certified medical assistant in both adult and pediatric settings. Training occurs through didactic (classroom) and clinical rotations covering the skills, job responsibilities, and procedures that certified medical assistants must perform, as well as the roles that certified medical assistants play in the healthcare setting. They will gain the knowledge and skills to successfully function as a certified medical assistant in the outpatient setting.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
