Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and patient care within Medical Services. The role focuses on patient intake, vital signs, medication history and EMR documentation, helping maintain clinic flow and safety for students and campus visitors.

You will assist during procedures, stock exam rooms, perform Point of Care tests, and ensure compliance with infection prevention. Required certification and BLS, plus completion of an accredited MA program.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution.
• BLS certification required.
• Eligibility to obtain Medical Assistant registration/certification.
• Experience with EMR documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, collect vital signs, and document medical history in EMR.
• Charge and chart procedures, treatments, and medications per provider plan.
• Assist in direct patient care, administer medications and immunizations as needed.
• Stock exam rooms and maintain infection prevention between patients.
• Perform Point of Care tests and document results in EMR.
