Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Medical Assistant Senior for a 0.5 FTE, on-site role supporting providers during patient visits and maintaining clinical certifications.

The position requires HS Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of MA experience; licensure options include CMA, RMA, NRCMA, CCMA or NPCE, or a licensed practical nurse pathway with an active LPN license. BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Job Summary:

A Medical Assistant Senior is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. The MA Sr is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The MA Sr is responsible for maintaining basic life support certification and remaining compliant with all organization educational, licensure or certification. This role may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations.

LICENSURE REQUIRED: One of the following is required: Military Medic/Corpsman training (must also obtain one of the certifications or licenses below within 6 months of hire), Credentialed in ABR-OE (Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NRCMA - Medical Assistant through the National Association for Health Professionals, CCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Certified Medical Assistant through the National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE), Certified Paramedic, Advanced EMT, OR Graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program and current active LPN license. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. LICENSURE PREFERRED: None.
