Froedtert ThedaCare is seeking a Medical Assistant for our CP-CEDARBURG CLINIC in Wisconsin. This on-site, full-time role supports providers, assists with patient visits, prepares exam rooms and handles basic clinical tasks to ensure smooth clinic flow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED plus an MA pathway (MA program, LPN, EMT-Basic, or MA training) and will obtain BLS within 90 days of hire. 0–1 year healthcare experience preferred; training across sites may occur.

• High school diploma or GED plus one of the following MA pathways.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: none required; 1 year healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. The MA is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for maintaining basic life support certification and remaining compliant with all organization educational, licensure or certification. This role may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED plus one of the following: Completion of an MA program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course OR one year of on-the-job MA training OR completion of an MA Apprenticeship program. Incumbents in an MA role as of March 28, 2025, meet job requirements under the prior description. Those who transitioned into an MA role on or before this date may move into new roles based upon previous job descriptions and MA job duties.
