Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to keep patient workflows smooth and support the clinical team.

You will proactively prepare patient charts, ensure up-to-date information for those seen in our facility, and manage daily patient flow depending on physicians on-site. You’ll collaborate with nurses and physicians to assist in examinations and procedures while maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or U.S. Armed Forces Medical services training.
• Experience with computer program used for checking-in and scheduling patients (check-in software).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital standards and collect lab specimens per protocol.
• Assist nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Retrieve equipment and supplies as needed.
• Assist in patient/equipment preparation for procedures and tests.
• Perform follow-up actions as directed.
• Complete hospital forms according to protocol.
