Job summary

Boone Health is seeking a Medical Assistant (PRN) to support physicians and licensed providers in patient care. The role includes room preparation, vital sign collection, and charting per protocols.

You will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, POCT and injections, triage calls, and present results to the provider with accurate medical terminology. You will assist with exams and procedures, and handle additional assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare exam room for patients.
• Obtain vital signs and patient history; maintain accurate charting.
• Perform clinical skills: phlebotomy, EKGs, POCT and injections.
• Triage calls and relay test results to provider with proper terminology.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. Performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Cleans and prepares exam room for patients. Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record. Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections. Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology. Assists provider by preparing patients for exams, procedures and treatments. Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
