Job summary

MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma, WA is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) for daily day shifts. The role involves in-office MA-C duties under supervision of licensed practitioners, with extensive patient interaction and collaboration with physicians, APPs, nurses, and front office staff.

Must have MA-C certification, at least one year of healthcare experience preferred, and current BLS. This position supports Orthopedics, Urology, Weight Loss, Family Practice, Internal Medicine,

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned, including organizing patient flow with front office
• Interviewing patients and obtaining vital signs
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
• Administering medications in compliance with WA DOH regulations and competency
• Relaying instructions to patients and families
• Fulfills clerical responsibilities such as sending/receiving patient records
• Facilitating patient referrals and preparing forms

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $24.83 - $35.71 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
