Greater Maryland Pain Management is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team at the Leonardtown and Prince Frederick offices. The MA will room patients, obtain vital signs, document in the EMR, and support both clinical and administrative tasks in a high-volume practice.

Preferred candidates have prior Medical Assistant experience, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented approach. CPR/BLS certification is a plus.

Qualificações

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Experience in pain management or specialty-practice is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication information.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Coordinate patient flow in a busy practice.
• Document patient information in the EMR accurately.
• Review and reconcile medications.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
• Assist with telephone calls, messages, referrals, and prescription requests.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked clinical areas.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control policies.
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication information
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Coordinate patient flow in a busy practice
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Review and reconcile medications
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff
• Assist with telephone calls, messages, referrals, and prescription requests
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and practice policies
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed

What We're Looking For:

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Pain management, orthopedic, or other specialty-practice experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
