Job summary

Erie Family Health Centers in Chicago seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical staff and patients across multiple on-site locations. The role includes routine patient care, clerical duties, and ensuring efficient patient flow.

The MA will prepare exam rooms, assist with procedures, and contribute to a positive patient experience. A MA program, externship or related training is required, with bilingual能力 a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a 160-hour MA externship is required.
• Completion of a Clinical Medical Assistant program is required.
• Alternative: BSN may fulfill the education requirement.

Responsibilities

Competitive Compensation

• $19/hr.+ based on experience and with potential for merit increases. Registered MAs earn $1 more/hr.
• Shift differential: Additional $10/hr. for hours worked after 5:30 PM and weekends.

Compensation is based on each candidate's experience, skills, and education within the range identified for the role. Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists medical professional staff members by performing routine patient care, laboratory procedures and clerical procedures to support the delivery of patient care
• Monitors patient flow by assuring that clients are serviced promptly and effectively
• Prepares examination rooms ensuring that rooms are clean, orderly and properly stocked with supplies for use during exams

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Successful completion of 160-hour MA Externship required
• Successful completion of a Clinical Medical Assistant program required
• OR
• Completion of BSN (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing)

Skills And Knowledge

• Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Phlebotomy skills, or desire to learn, strongly preferred
• Experienced in utilizing a computer, Microsoft Products and EMR preferred
• Current and active CPR Card, required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Bilingual language is a plus
