Job summary

Munson Healthcare is looking for a part-time Medical Assistant to join the Sleep Disorders Clinic in Traverse City. In this role, you will support patients and the clinic with clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.

Medical Assistant - Sleep Disorders Clinic

• Shift: Day Shift
• Status: Part Time
• Location: 550 Munson Ave, Traverse City MI
• Schedule: 20 Hours Weekly - Office Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Sign-On Bonus: $4,500 Sign-On Bonus (Terms and Conditions Apply)

Day in the Life

• As a Medical Assistant, you will complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic, working alongside the provider to ensure patients are well‑served and the clinic runs smoothly.
• You will be the first point of patient care, rooming and preparing patients according to clinic checklists or procedures.
• You will measure patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other required patient measurements.
• You will complete required patient care documentation, including Medical Histories and referral requests.
• You will assist with day‑to‑day operations as needed for optimal patient care, including aiding teammates and providers.

Required Qualifications

• Credentialed Medical Assistant: High school graduate or GED preferred; credentialed from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization; BLS certification preferred (must be obtained within 90 days and maintained).
• Non‑Credentialed Medical Assistant: High school graduate or GED preferred; one year relevant experience in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting; BLS certification preferred.
