Job Description

Supports and floats throughout affiliated clinics in Northern LA County, including Agoura Hills, Burbank, Mission Hills, Santa Monica, Tarzana, Westlake Village, and West Hills.

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. An MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic or location. They are expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training, or
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
• Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or
• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant including clinical skills such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.

Additional requirements include:

• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Six months healthcare experience and six months medical assistant experience.

Preferred Qualification

• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Additional Information

Location options include Santa Monica, Agoura Hills, Burbank, Mission Hills, Tarzana, Westlake Village, and West Hills, with pay ranges from $23.15 to $35.42 per hour.
