LA - Silverlake Clinic (3921 Sunset Blvd 2nd Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90029)

Compensation:

$23-$25 per hour based on experience

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5pm or 10:30am - 7pm; alternating Saturdays

Role Summary:

As one of Tia’s Medical Assistants, you perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly. Core functions include rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with exams and procedures, collecting health information, messaging with patients, managing supplies, processing specimens, and supporting front office operations like scheduling and billing.

Skills:
  • Phlebotomy - minimum of 2 years paid experience
  • Lab review and ordering

Responsibilities:
  • Deeply understand the reason for each patient’s visit
  • Collect background information and document notes for providers
  • Review and verify health summaries
  • Take and record patient vitals
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and proper documentation
  • Update pharmacy preferences and process prescriptions
  • Order labs and imaging, add proper Dx codes
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures, including gynecological surgeries
  • Chaperone exams, maintain sterile technique, and process specimens
  • Prepare exam rooms and coordinate patient flow within the clinic
  • Monitor schedule, communicate delays, and ensure high patient experience
  • Perform phlebotomy with licensure and uphold clinical guidelines
  • Maintain clinic cleanliness and manage supplies
Other Skills and Details:
  • Medical Assistant certification in California is a plus but not required
  • Diverse care background preferred, especially experience with women’s health, vulnerable populations, or underserved communities
  • Experience with data security and HIPAA compliance
  • Interest in stress, immune system, and inflammatory response systems is a plus
  • Willing to work nights and weekends if needed
  • Authorized to work in the US
