Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support clinic operations in Clermont, FL. This full-time role requires clinical intake, patient preparation, phlebotomy and basic procedural support as part of a team delivering high-quality care.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, CPR certification, and 1+ year of related experience with proficiency in medical terminology and computer systems. This on-site position offers competitive pay and benefits.

• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems.

• Experience with computers/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Maintain education requirements and demonstrate competency.
• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment and document results.
• Ensure office safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provide comprehensive care during visits (admission, testing, labs, meds).
• Maintain patient confidentiality and support staff teamwork.
• Perform clinical intake incl. screenings, vitals, history, meds reconciliation.
• Assist with minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation.
• Educate patients on tests, medications and diet.
• Monitor inventory and equipment functionality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
