MEDICAL ASSISTANT – SOUTHWEST GENERAL MEDICAL GROUP (SGMG)
Southwest General Medical Group, Inc. – Primary Care focuses on providing excellent quality medical care for family members of all ages, from newborns through seniors. Our board-certified physicians offer compassionate, comprehensive care, including preventive medical care as well as acute and chronic care services. In addition to diagnosing and treating illness, they provide routine checkups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests. Our family practice physicians provide personal care and attention to each patient and work together with patients to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle and ensure their optimal health and well-being.
HOURS:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., with varied start and end times.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist physicians and staff for general patient care and clerical duties in a physician office - outpatient setting. Demonstrates initiative to take appropriate action in day-to-day activities without being prompted. Able to problem solve and stay current with Healthcare and payor regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school graduate, minimum; certification from an approved school with a certificate in Medical assisting preferred. Medical terminology required. Able to perform computer entry and basic office computer skills.
Required length of experience:
Externship of at least 100 hours or 6 months previous office/OP setting experience preferred. New grads welcome to apply.
Required licensure, certification, and/or registry:
Medical Assisting certificate preferred.
