Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• One or more years’ experience in a medical office preferred.
• Must be able to interact professionally with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, introduces self, and escorts to exam room.
• Verifies patient information, medical history, medications, and purpose of visit.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information.
• May draw blood and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares exam rooms and maintains medical records.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and completes charting as needed.
• Supports scheduling and pre-admission tasks as required.
• Ensures infection control and workplace safety.
