Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant to join our Chicago, IL practice. This full-time role supports front-office operations, appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and basic clinical tasks under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and at least one year of medical-office experience. Some travel and flexibility in hours may be required to meet patient needs.

• CPR certification from the American Heart Association required; MA cert preferred but not required
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field required; on-the-job training provided

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Hourly Pay Range

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant
• Location: Chicago, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
• Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM
• Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What You Will Do

• Answer phones

What You Will Need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
