Responsibilities:
  • Assist psychiatrists and other mental health providers with patient care.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vitals and updating medical histories.
  • Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and medication management.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records using AMD.
  • Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and mental health resources.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, answering phones, and verifying insurance.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for psychiatric patients.
  • Work on Saturdays as part of a regular schedule.
Requirements:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)preferred.
  • Prior experience inpsychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health settingsis highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with patients experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and basic medical office procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
