Job summary

OptumCare’s Reliant Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Worcester ReadyMed Plus location. The role supports Same Day Services; hours are full time, 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts, with rotating holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities include patient vitals, assisting with procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and clerical tasks to support office operations. Qualified candidates will have MA training and BLS/CPR, with CMA preferred.

Qualifications

• Education or on the job training as a Medical Assistant
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) or completed within 90 days of date of hire for positions in direct patient care areas

Type of Practice:Same Day Services (Urgent Care)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc.
• Assist physician and others with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc.
• Prepare treatment rooms
• Perform a variety of clerical functions to support office functions
• Perform related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information
