Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Cherryville, NC is hiring a Medical Assistant to support on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge. You will triage, document vitals, and assist during examinations, while helping maintain digital records and prepare exam rooms.

The role offers a starting pay of $15 per hour, with benefits such as health, dental, vision, 401K, and PTO. Rotating schedule and weekend shifts may be included according to clinic needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in the care of patients to assure optimal delivery of medical care
• Triage patients promptly and in line with clinic procedures to ensure smooth workflow
• Document vital signs, weight, and updates to patient medical history prior to each visit
• Perform lab tests in compliance with clinical guidelines and provider instructions
• Manage digital patient records and support transition from paper to electronic systems
• Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments, ensuring cleanliness and readiness
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures
• Position patients for x-rays following provider directives
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed
