Job summary

MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Havelock, NC, is looking for Medical Assistants to deliver top-notch care to our patients. The role includes assisting providers, managing patient records, and performing lab tests, with a rotating schedule of 4 days one week and 3 the next.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office. We provide competitive pay starting at $15/hr along with health, dental, and vision benefits, 401K, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in the care of patients.
• Triage patients promptly in line with clinic procedures.
• Document vital signs and updates to patient medical history.
• Perform lab tests in compliance with clinical guidelines.
• Manage digital patient records and support transition to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments.
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
• Assist providers during patient examinations.
• Position patients for x-rays.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory.
