Job summary

Siouxland Community Health Center in Sioux City, IA is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for the Riverside location to support the Provider team during patient visits in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and instruments, assisting with phlebotomy and immunizations, vision and hearing checks, scheduling, and recording in EMR/PM systems. A high school diploma is required; certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; certification preferred for MA.
• EMR experience is a definite plus.
• BCLS and Mandatory Reporter certification required.

Description

MA (Medical Assistant) - Riverside

1 - Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week)

Successful candidate must have solid experience & advanced knowledge of:

• High School diploma or GED, certification preferred for MA.
• Multi-Physician Family Practice experience preferred.
• Electronic Medical / Health Records (EMR) experience a definite plus.
• Current BCLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.

Successful candidate must be able to perform primary functions of position:

• Assist Provider team with one-on-one patient visits and flow in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare patient and all necessary instruments, equipment and paperwork for clinical visits.
• Assist with phlebotomy and administer immunizations.
• Perform vision and hearing exams.
• Schedule appointments.
• Document in electronic medical records and practice management system.
• These functions are not all inclusive
