Job summary

CenterPoint Health - Georgetown is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Float for Georgetown Pain & Spine Center. This full-time, days position supports clinical and administrative duties, takes vital signs, documents patient history, and assists providers with exams and procedures in a collaborative, patient‑centered team.

Ideal candidates will have a CMA certification (CCMA or RMA acceptable), current BLS within 30 days of hire, and graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program

Responsibilities

• Perform routine clinical and administrative duties
• Take vital signs, document patient history, and update EHR

How you'll contribute

ACertified Medical Assistant (CMA) who excels in this role:

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.

• Take vital signs, document patient history, and update electronic health records (EHR)
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and administering medications or injections
• Perform basic lab tasks, prepare specimens, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms

• Support front office and patient care coordination, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred. Additional requirements include:

• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required
