Job summary

CenterPoint Health - Winchester is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join the General Surgery team at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, KY. This full-time, days position supports both clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced surgical setting.

You will take vital signs, help with exams, manage EHRs, and assist providers with procedures, medications, and injections. Strong teamwork and patient care focus are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
• Take vital signs, document patient history, and update electronic health records (EHR).
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and administering medications or injections.
• Perform basic lab tasks, prepare specimens, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Support front office and patient care coordination, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.

How you'll contribute
