Job summary

BJC Medical Group is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for the Bethalto, Illinois area. This outpatient role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, a 40-hour workweek, a day shift, and benefits eligibility with no call, no weekends, and no holidays.

The MA will support physicians with patient care, take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and basic procedures, and maintain accurate charting in the electronic medical record. Join a large, multi-specialty group with a strong patient satisfaction record.

Qualifications

• The Medical Assistant provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider.
• Performs phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Triage calls and provides test and lab results to patients with correct terminology.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.
