Job Summary

Under general supervision, and according to well-defined policies and procedures, the MA/MR assists in the delivery of primary health and patient care management. Responsibilities include interviewing patients or their representatives to obtain necessary personal, demographic, and financial information, performing routine clerical, secretarial, and administrative work such as answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, computer data entry, and other record-keeping tasks related to patient registration. This position also involves assisting with the flow of patients from the waiting area to exam rooms and preparing patients to ensure efficient use of the physician's time. Experience with medical terminology and practice management systems is preferred. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
