Job summary

WellStar Health System is seeking a Day Shift Medical Assistant to support clinical and non-clinical operations. You will register patients, assist with exams, take vitals, and coordinate tests while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role involves rotating through lab, x-ray and front-office areas, maintaining documentation and complying with safety standards. Training in radiology and phlebotomy is expected to be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program (CAAHEP/ABHES preferred).
• Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Adequate computer literacy and ability to use clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Register patients upon entrance to the facility.
• Assist physicians with treatments and patient prep.
• Perform vitals and prepare equipment for procedures.
• Rotate across clinical and front-office duties including lab and radiology.
• Maintain logs, reports and documentation accurately.
