Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group in Georgia is seeking a Medical Assistant to work under physician supervision, preparing patients for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and recording treatment in medical records. This role supports patients across ages from neonate to geriatric.

You will register patients, take vitals, assist in radiology and labs, and help with front office duties while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Organized and attentive to detail; able to work quickly and efficiently to ensure patient comfort.
• Able to communicate and understand verbal and written English; basic computer skills ensured.

Responsibilities

• Register patient upon entrance to facility and perform registration operations.
• Prepare equipment and rooms and aid physician with treatment of patients.
• Perform vitals and other duties to prep patients; rotate across lab, x-ray and front office.
• Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures as ordered; ensure quality control.
• Draw blood samples and perform Point of Care testing; order and stock supplies weekly.
• Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team.
• Demonstrate teamwork, participate in ongoing training, and maintain documentation.
• Ensure logs, reports, and documentation are complete and compliant.
