Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a Per Diem Medical Assistant to join our experienced Convenient Care team in Springfield, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to our patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation, and patient discharge. Our supportive work environment allows you to provide optimal patient care.

SCHEDULE:

• Per Diem, weekday hours are 8:30am-7:00pm
• Weekend hours are 7:30am-4:00pm

• Springfield Convenient Care
• Springfield, MA

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED
• CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association
• Must be ONE of the following:

· Certified through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
· A Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Registered as an American Medical Technologist (AMT)
· Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association

Certifications:

Basic Life Support – American Heart Association, Certified Healthcare Interpreter – Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters, Certified Medical Assistant – Other, Credentialing must be awarded by a third-party credentialing body which can be obtained through: 1. Registered through Medical Assistant (ARMA) – (Minimum Requirement); 2. Registered through American Medical Technologist (AMT) association; or 3. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association (NHA); or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or 4. Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
