Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region, is looking for a per-diem Medical Assistant to join our experienced High St. Pediatrics team in Springfield, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to our patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation, and patient discharge. Our supportive work environment allows you to provide optimal patient care.

SCHEDULE:

• Per-diem, Monday through Friday
• Ideal candidate has flexibility between 7:45am-5:30pm
• Rotating Saturday morning shift, 7am-12pm

LOCATION:

• 140 High St., Springfield, MA

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED
• CPR-Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association

LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

MAI & MAII: Graduate of an accredited MA program or minimum of 3 years relevant experience, evaluated by hiring manager.

MAIII: Graduate of an accredited MA program with at least 3 years’ current relevant experience or demonstrated competencies with at least 5 years’ experience.

MAIV: Internal promotion after 2 years as MAIII at Baystate, with demonstrated competencies, and registered/certified.
