MainStreet Family Care in Eden, NC is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant (PRN) to support on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge. This role includes triage, charting vital signs, basic lab work, and room preparation, with opportunities to travel as needed.

The ideal candidate will have high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication skills. Prior medical assisting helps, but is not required. This is a PRN, part-time position with varying shifts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist Provider(s) in patient care to ensure optimal delivery of medical care.
Triage patients promptly and maintain clinic workflow.
Document vital signs and patient history prior to each visit.
Perform lab tests per clinical guidelines and instructions.
Manage digital patient records and support transition to electronic systems.
Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness.
Administer prescribed medications under supervision.
Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
Position patients for X-rays as directed.
Monitor and manage medical inventory as needed.

We provide a range of services including urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will assist the on-site provider with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge.

Responsibilities

Our Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Provider(s) in the care of patients to assure optimal delivery of medical care

Triage patients promptly and in line with clinic procedures to ensure smooth workflow.

Document vital signs, weight, and any updates to the patient’s medical history prior to each visit.

Perform lab tests in compliance with clinical guidelines and medical provider instructions.

Manage digital patient records and support the transition from paper records to electronic systems.

Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.

Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.

Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.

Position patients for x-rays following provider directives.

Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.

- Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

KidsStreet
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m

KidStreet Locations: Montgomery, Pelham, Gainesville, Mobile, Augusta, Tallahassee, Columbus, Valdosta, Savannah, Charlotte,Wake Forest, Greenville, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem.
