Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) through its IPM subsidiary provides medical services and physician network operations. This role supports the Manatee Physician Alliance in patient care, room preparation, and clerical duties across facilities.

Ideal candidates have a medical assistant certificate and at least one year of experience, with strong terminology knowledge and reliability. Travel to other facilities may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of medical experience preferred.

Responsibilities
Position Summary:

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistantis responsible for preforming a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measures vital signs, venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State.

  • Documentation recorded in Electronic Medical Record I accordance with MPA guideline.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients
  • Assists in covering front desk as required
  • General medical procedures
  • Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliations process
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Travels to and works at other facilities are requested

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities.
