Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of a medical provider—physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner—in the medical office setting. They work closely with physicians, assist with direct patient care, and serve as a clinical liaison among patients, physicians, and office staff, promoting communication regarding patient care plans.
