Are you a PRN Medical Assistant in the Aurora or Denver area? This is a fantastic opportunity to add a flexible schedule to your work week while inspiring the next generation of professionals.

Shifts available: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM; Tuesday & Thursday: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM

Essential Functions
  1. Create and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles across various subjects.
  2. Develop instructions based on students' needs and the established curriculum to achieve specific objectives.
  3. Assist in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.
  4. Evaluate and grade students’ work and assignments, ensuring feedback is provided within 72 hours.
  5. Address academic or behavioral concerns, involving the Assistant Dean of Faculty and Student Services Coordinator as needed.
  6. Hold regular in-person office hours to support and advise students.
  7. Supervise and guide students during their externships.
  8. Review course materials—syllabi, homework, handouts—and recommend improvements.
  9. Attend faculty meetings, advisory board discussions, workshops, graduations, and professional development events.
  10. Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, early alerts, and student files.
  11. Coordinate guest speakers, field trips, and visits to clinics and medical offices.
  12. Enforce safety and security standards for all students, staff, and visitors.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

  1. In-depth knowledge of Medical Assisting practices.
  2. Ability to plan and execute engaging learning experiences.

  4. Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to the field.
  5. Skills in fostering an interactive and engaging learning environment.
  6. Proficiency in delivering effective assessments.
  7. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video-conferencing tools, and other computer applications.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, CHEA, or equivalent OR three (3) years of training and experience in Medical Assisting.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of full-time practical experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Functional proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video-conferencing tools, and related computer/internet applications.
Preferred:
  • Classroom teaching experience.
  • Three (3) years of practical experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Current, unencumbered certification through a nationally recognized agency (CMA or RMA).
Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $22.88–$27.46
  • Includes Colorado Paid Sick/Leave and Public Health Emergency benefits.
