  • Breast Health Center - Bluffton Medical Campus
  • PRN Days Shift
  • Up to 24 hours schedule; Holiday Rotation
Position Summary:

The medical assistant provides a range of office support to ensure appropriate scheduling, documentation, record keeping, and billing functions. Provides personal care and supportive services to the patient under the direct supervision of the RN or Office Manager. The medical assistant will perform patient-focused activities, assist physicians and other professional staff with treatment and procedures, monitor patient’s condition, and report changes as needed. The medical assistant will adhere to the daily schedule, communicate effectively with patients and staff, monitor and coordinate supplies/equipment, and promote customer/patient satisfaction.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in the physician office setting preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
  • Surgery scheduling experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:

  • Current BLS certification within six weeks of hire.
