Responsabilités

• Provide solutions to patient concerns and escalate emergencies.
• Ensure timely follow-up for lab and X-ray results; make urgent follow-up calls.
• Assist with front desk check-in and check-out as needed.
• Document vital signs, histories, medications, allergies, and related details.
• Assist with patient transfers, procedures, and lab work under provider supervision.
• Prepare and shoot X-Rays with proper positioning and protection.
• Complete all visit documentation and maintain clean exam rooms.
• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other procedures as trained.

Urgent Team is looking for experienced Medical Assistants to join our team in Morristown, TN.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant provides clinical care to patients in urgent care, occupational health, and workers’ compensation settings. Responsibilities include initial evaluations, x-ray testing, and preparing patients for provider evaluation by recording histories, vital signs, and documentation while recognizing acuity levels for appropriate intervention.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

• Greet patients promptly and provide clear communication about next steps and wait times
• Offer solutions to patient concerns and seek help in emergent or hazardous situations
• Ensure timely follow-up for lab and x-ray results; execute follow-up calls with urgency
• Support front desk staff with check-in and check-out procedures when needed
• Accurately document vital signs, histories, medications, allergies, and other pertinent details
• Assist with patient transfers, procedures, and lab work under provider supervision
• Prepare and shoot X-Rays, ensuring proper positioning, safety, radiation protection, and shielding
• Complete all required visit documentation and maintain stocked, clean exam rooms
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other clinical procedures as trained and directed

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• Certified Medical Assistant is preferred
• Experience performing X-Rays is desirable
