Job summary

Paycom is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in our outpatient clinic. You will assist physicians, take vitals, document in the EHR, and help prepare patients for exams and procedures.

The role requires BLS, MA program completion, and strong communication. Flexibility is essential to cover varying schedules, including possible weekday, evening, or weekend shifts based on clinic needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Preferred CMA/RMA credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs including BP, pulse, temp, height, and weight.
• Document histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints in the EHR.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures.
• Perform specimen collection, point-of-care testing, injections, and related duties.
• Process laboratory orders and ensure proper specimen handling and documentation.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals; manage calls and messages.
• Maintain infection control standards and keep rooms stocked and clean.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR and assist with admin tasks.

This position assists with patient care, ensures efficient clinic operations, and supports the organization's mission of delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
