Job summary

Washington Regional Urgent Care in Harrison, AR seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support for excellent patient care.

The role involves vitals, patient preparation, and assisting with procedures under provider supervision, with a full-time 36–40 hour/week rotating schedule including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN options available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
  • BLS Certification is required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and assist with check-in/out procedures as needed.
  • Take vitals, document patient history, and assist providers during visits.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records.
  • Support front desk staff and communicate wait times to patients.

Description

Washington Regional Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Assistants to join our team in Harrison, AR.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
  • Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process
  • Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations
  • Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
  • Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
  • Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
  • Assists with patient transfers
  • Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
  • Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team memberswork a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS Certification
  • Certified Medical Assistant is preferred
  • Willingness to get AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred
