Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care in Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant PRN to support patient care across locations. You will prepare patients, assist with exams, collect vitals, and help with injections and lab tasks.

Requirements include 1+ year clinical experience, EHR familiarity, graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program, and optional AAMA certification. CSL/ Breath and Drug screenings plus BCLS within 30 days are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Medical Assisting or approved program (BOTP) is required
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful
• Ability to obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms with instruments and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Provide injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-ups.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts
• Screen incoming calls for referrals to physicians/practitioners
• Willing to travel/float between MD Now locations within assigned Area (preferred)

You Should Have:
