Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant in Florida. The role supports patient care, prepares exam rooms, and assists physicians with procedures. You will collect histories and vital signs, manage labs and phlebotomy tasks, and help coordinate referrals.

Travel between MD Now locations within the assigned area is preferred. We look for 1+ year clinical experience, EHR familiarity, and a medical assisting program graduate.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment including vital signs and histories
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment including sterilization
• Administer injections and assist with phlebotomy and lab testing
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages
• Coordinate referrals, transfers, and follow-up care
• Screen calls and coordinate physicals/workplace injuries for partner accounts
• Willing to travel/float between MD Now locations within assigned area

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MDNow Urgent Care Clinic hours are Monday-Sunday 8am-8pm. You must have flexibility to work during those hours.

We are seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant like you who provides expertise and is a champion of patient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

As a Medical Assistant, you will:

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization

• Give injections, and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs

• Assist physicians in applying splints, dressings, and bandages

• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care

• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts

• Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners

• Willing to travel/float between all MD Now locations within assigned Area preferred

You Should Have:

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred

• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful

• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required

• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful

• The ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start preferred

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
