Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant handles front office functions including patient relations, appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, medical records management, vitals collection, patient history, lab draws, and preparing patients for provider visits.

Key Duties:

• Reception duties, answering phones, greeting patients and providers.
• Scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
• Patient check-in, registration, vitals, and history collection.
• Drawing labs and verifying insurance and demographics.
• Managing medical records, copying, faxing, and cross-training at all HPL Clinics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
